# September 26, 2026 — Hermes Oracle Caching & Themes

Focused on backend latency reductions, single-flight oracle caching, and terminal customization engines.

## Features

* **Developer Terminal Theme Engine**: Added user-selectable themes for the Pro Terminal with custom colorways, high-contrast monospace palettes, and persistent local storage presets.
* **Living Micro-Interactions**: Enhanced tactile feedback across order submit buttons, tick flashes in the L2 depth ladder, and margin health alerts.

## Performance & Infrastructure

* **Single-Flight Hermes Oracle Cache**: Coalesced Pyth price update requests on the backend into a single-flight cache loop. Eliminates redundant RPC calls and guarantees fresh price timestamps for all incoming order validations.
* **WebSocket Broadcast Framing**: Re-architected Socket.IO frame serialization with binary buffer packing, cutting memory footprint and improving broadcast latency under heavy market volatility.
